Here comes the Autumn!

It’s just a handful of days until we arrive at the end of September. Why does the ‘season’ always go so fast?! It’s been very dry and the garden borders have really suffered-I only water them when absolutely necessary.

We have done more shows/ fairs this year and seem to have settled into a routine of the ones that we attend. My favourite has to be Upton Park as that is our local, but Athelhampton is lovely too-such a wonderful setting with great organisation thanks to Martin Young of Nectar Plants in Weymouth! I’d recommend anyone who hasn’t been to that plant fair to go next year-the house, gardens and cafe are all worth a visit.

I’d like to remind anyone who is hoping to visit the Nursery here that my opening hours will not cover October, so if you want to come please give me a ring  01202 695256. My A-board will be out sometimes, so obviously anyone is most welcome to go on through that side gate if they see it saying I’m open!

HAPPY GARDENING!   🙂                                  #plants, #gardennursery, #perennials, #broadstone, #gardeningdorset

Next Sunday, the 14th Sept, it’s time for our second trip of the year to sell at the plant fair at Athelhampton House. I love this event as the setting is so atmospheric! You have entry to the house and the lovely gardens too.
